Privacy
- Someone else has signed up for WhatsApp or another service with the secondary number that used to belong to me.
The secondary number is given temporarily to the user, and is in his possession as long as there is an active paid program in the app.
In case of cancellation of a plan or end of a plan period, the secondary number enters a 90-day freeze period, during which a plan can be purchased, and the service renewed.
At the end of the 90-day freeze, the secondary number is released to the available numbers pool and can be assigned to another user.
A few days before the end of the program period, the user receives a notification of an expected service termination, in which we instruct to cancel registration for any service or social network, such as WhatsApp, where he registered using the secondary number.
If the number you used in the past has already been released and assigned to another user, and is active in the service – we cannot cancel it.
We apologize for the inconvenience.Tags: # Privacy #lock the app #lock app #app lock #set password #set code

- I have set up a voice mailbox in the application and still in case of rejected call, the caller goes to primary number voicemail.
A subscriber may have set up via device settings for a call to go to a voicemail in case of no answer, rejected or busy.As for Num2, forward to voicemail according to those settings is considered as an answered call. The subscriber can control this by going to call settings and turning off the call forward. (Not all mobile operators allow editing those settings).

- What happens to unanswered incoming calls? Does the app have voicemail?

- How do you record the app usage details? Can one link the secondary number to me and my private number?
The records of app usage is maintained internally at Cellact ltd. With regard to your network operator, the calls are made between the primary and the secondary numbers, which is also what will appear on your invoice. The numbers associated with the service are owned by Cellact ltd and are loaned to users unless the user port a number that he owns to Cellact Communications network, and makes it an secondary number. If your secondary number is tagged with registration software such as True Caller it can be associated with the number owner according to the name of the registrant in the phone book.Given a judge’s order, Cellact Communications is committed to providing full details of the calls made via the Num2 app.

- Can the secondary number be somehow traced? Can one associate the secondary number with the primary number of the device?
The app protects the privacy of your primary number:
- The recipient of the call sees an incoming call from the secondary number and not your private number.
- When dialing the secondary number, one also does not see the primary number.
- The cellular operator on the network where the primary number is located does not see the numbers you dialed via Num2 or the numbers that called Num2; instead, your secondary number appears as the caller or the called number.
However, note that:
- If you have voicemail on a primary number, incoming calls to the application will be forwarded to this voicemail in case of no answer, phone busy or rejecting a call. There is an option to set up an app-specific voicemail.
- Given a judge’s order, Cellact Communications is committed to providing full details of the calls made via the Num2 app.
- If your secondary number is tagged with registration software such as True Caller, the secondary number can be assigned to the owner of the number according to the name of the registrant in the phone book.

- Do calls from the Num2 appear in the device call log?
In the device log, you will see incoming and outgoing calls; the calls are registered with the secondary number, not the original caller or the number dialed.
This is in accordance with Google Play’s requirement that an app will not be able to make changes to call history on Android devices, as there is no change to IPhone devices.
The number that appears in the call log is the Secondary number defined in the app. The original caller or dialed number will not be exposed and will not appear in a call log.
For users who have purchased a package that includes calls in VOIP mode, calls made after activating VOIP mode will not appear in the device call log.

Premium and Charges
- Why is a landline secondary number package more expensive than a mobile secondary number package?
Compared to a regular physical landline, a Landline Num2 has the following advantages:
- It is a stationary line that can be taken anywhere – that’s why it is “portable”, not attached to the wall.
- When purchasing a Landline Num2 package, you can record a conversation with the recording sent to you by email.
- Can also be used abroad (currently, a Landline Num2 package is available on an Israeli SIM).
- Possibility of porting an existing fixed line from another network and using it as a secondary number.
The service is intended for those who want flexibility in the location of the landline and the ability to record.
Please note that the service is for calls only, no SMS.

If you purchased your existing package in the PayPal or Google play store, go to store from the app menu, there you will be able to see and manage the active package and the other available packages. - I purchased a renewed subscription service and replaced my mobile device. How do I transfer the subscription service between the two devices?
If you have replaced a device but have not changed the primary phone number (SIM), all you must do is transfer the existing SIM from an old device to a new one, install the Num2 application, and activate it. The system remembers the association of the secondary number with the primary number (SIM), and will show you your number, and your existing package.
If you want to change the main phone number (SIM) on which the Num2 app is installed, you can use the account transfer option under Main menu >> Account >> Transfer account.
This option will be available to users with an active Premium package.
The prime numbers between which a secondary number is transferred, must belong to the same group of countries:
o for a prime number (SIM) belonging to Israel, the Netherlands, the UK, or the US – you can transfer to another prime number belonging to the same country only.
o for a main number belonging to the other European countries where the Num2 service is available – the secondary number can be transferred to any of the countries in the group (for example from a French main number can be transferred to a Belgian main number).
The transfer of the secondary number should be applied from the old device. The action activates a wizard, which accompanies the user until the transfer is complete.
Account transfer steps:
• Select an account to manage the package
– In case of using the same Google or Apple account on both devices, old and new, a subscription package will go directly to the new device.
– In case of using the same PayPal account, the package will be canceled automatically, including future payments, and the user must repurchase the subscription service.
– In case of switching from Android to iOS and vice versa, it is necessary to manually cancel the previous subscription plan in the store.- Authentication of the new primary numberUpon entering a new prime number in the wizard, we will send a verification code to the new number, which the user will be prompted to enter in the wizard.
If, before transferring an account, a registration has already been made for the Num2 in the new device, and a new secondary number has been received, the wizard will instruct you to remove it, using an account deletion action, to transfer the existing secondary number to it.
- After completing the transferThe subscriber will see the balance of calls and SMS he had before the transfer.
If the user cancels a subscription service, at the end of the balance / period, he must enter the store and purchase a new package / subscription.

- Does making calls from the Num2 app cost money?
It depends on the service package of the primary phone number with its mobile operator: if a subscriber has an all Inclusive program, there is no additional cost for the calls. The Num2 app uses the minutes of the subscriber’s primary number, so the two numbers share the same pricing plan with the operator. However, even if the operator bills the subscriber per minute, there is no additional payment for the call beyond the payment to the cellular operator.

If a user has ported a number from another network to the Num2 app – the number will remain with him as long as the app is active, and the user will be able to port the number to another operator network at any time. If there has been no active use of the Num2 app (there was no use of the service, and/or an active premium package in the app) for 6 months, the company will be entitled to return the number via porting it to its original operator network.
In the event of service cancelation, if the user has registered for various websites and services using the secondary number, the user must cancel the registration and remove the accounts he opened, since the number returned to the free pool may now be assigned to another user.

Technical issues
- When I sync a smartwatch with my mobile device, I stop receiving incoming calls.
Google/Apple smartwatches that are synchronized with cellular devices have the option of setting a DND (Do not disturb) mode, which overrides the device settings.
In this case, incoming calls (VOIP only) and SMS messages will not be received by the application. Keywords: smartwatch, watch, Bluetooth, do not disturb, DND, VOIP, incoming calls, incoming call, not receiving calls, no incoming calls.
- When trying to make a call from the app, I get an error message "Please enable 'use VOIP' under Settings"
The error means that when trying to dial from the application, the system recognized that the user is located abroad of the country to which the primary number (SIM) on which the application is installed belongs, and that the user purchased a package that includes the option to use VOIP.
To activate VOIP mode you need to go to the main menu >> Settings >> Activate ‘use VOIP’.
If you are not located abroad, a VPN application may be activated on your device that simulates browsing the Internet from an IP address that belongs to another country.

- When I am in an active call in the app in VOIP mode, and there is another call on hold on the main device, I am not heard in the active call
The use of the device’s microphone input is designed this way by the device manufacturer – for a GSM call, which is on hold on your device, there is a higher priority for using the microphone, than for sharing the microphone with VOIP applications.

- After activating VOIP mode, the calls are disconnected in the middle
Calls made in VOIP mode depend on the quality of the Internet line on which the service operates. In case of internet disconnections, or frequent transitions between different wireless networks, there may be poor call quality, and even call disconnection.

When you use the application to make calls, Num2 creates a temporary contact on your device and deletes it at the end of each call. The error message you receive on your device is due to an operating system setting on some Xiaomi devices.
To allow the app to create and remove the temporary contact on your Xiaomi device, log in to Security Settings >> Permissions >> Permissions >> give permission to add and remove contacts to the Num2 app.
It is important to note that the Num2 application uses only the permission of contacts for the proper operation of the application. The app does not collect contact information from your device.

- I have not used the app for a while, and now the app is not working. What should I do?
After installing the application, in order to ensure the use of the service and keep the number assigned to you, you must purchase a package in the application store. In case of service cancelation, the number assigned to you will be canceled within a certain period of time and may be assigned to another user. If you used a number to register for websites or services such as WhatsApp, social networks, and more, we recommend deleting the registration or changing it to another number. Upon purchasing the additional number package, if the number you previously used has been canceled, you will receive another random number to use.

- How can I grant permissions to the app after it has already been installed on my device?
For Android devices, you need to access the device settings >> Application manager >> select the Num2 app. Under Permissions, you can see which permissions have been granted for the app and which have not been approved.
For iPhone devices under Settings, you can scroll down to the list of applications, see the list of permissions in each application, or access each type of authorization separately and see which applications are using them – for example privacy, notifications and more. You can also reinstall the app to confirm permissions.

- I have changed the SIM on my device to a different primary number, and now the app has stopped working. What should I do?
The secondary number in the application is “linked” to the main number on which it is installed. Therefore, if a SIM has been changed to another number, it is recommended that you transfer your Num2 account using the app menu and register it on the new main SIM number.
See “How to Transfer an Account“.Keywords: #Not working #app not working #no calls #no service #app problem #malfunction #not calling #no calling #no SMS #error #replace number #different number #replace SIM #move SIM #changed number #replace SIM card
- I moved the SIM card to another device. Will the app continue to work?
If you install the application on different devices with the same SIM, Num2 app will work properly on the last device. If you return the SIM to the previous phone where the Num2 app is installed with the same number, it will not work.To resolve the problem, go to device Settings >> Application manager >> Choose Num2 app >> click CLEAR DATA.Finally, re-register to the application.

- I do not receive SMS messages when the app is not open on the device
In some Huawei models (and some LG and Xiaomi devices), you need to add the Num2 app to the list of applications allowed to run in the background when the device activates a battery-saving mode, in order to receive notifications while the application is closed. While the device manufacturer automatically adds world-known apps (like WhatsApp, Facebook, and Google Mail), other applets (including the Num2 app) need to be added manually. For Huawei devices go to Device Settings >> Advanced Settings >> Battery Manager >> Protected Applications. Find and add the additional number app. When finished, restart the device. For more info click here. For info about more device models see question ‘How to enable push notifications on various Android devices’.

- I do not receive SMS messages from specific services, such as Telegram
Various service providers overseas send SMS messages on different channels, so we recommend that you try again in a few hours.
Alternatively, on most sites you can also sign up by receiving a voice call or email instead of a text message.
In addition, we can suggest that you contact the site / service team from whom you have tried to receive text messages and ask them to resolve the issue. The site / service team will be able to contact Cellact technical support to assist with the sending of SMS messages.

- I do not receive SMS messages for the app, although I can send messages and place calls.
Please check the following settings:
1) Confirm permission for the app
Text messages to the secondary number are passed as notifications in the Data channel.
Possibly, when you installed the app, you did not give permission to receive notifications.
To check this, enter the device settings Application Manager >> Find the Num2 app >> Go to permissions and verify that the permission has been granted.
2) Verify that the “White mode” status is not defined in the application
White mode blocks incoming calls and messages, except for a closed list.
Please check the following settings:
1) Verification of granting permissions to the application
Text messages to Num2 are sent as notifications on the Data channel.
It is possible that when installing the application, you did not give permission to receive notifications.
On devices with an Android operating system, you can enter the device settings >> app manager >> find the Num2 app >> go to permissions and verify that permission has been granted.
iPhone customers can check the settings for receiving notifications on their device in the following guide in Hebrew or English. Look in the guide for ‘notifications for specific apps’.
2) Verification that the “White” mode is not defined in the app
The “White” mode blocks incoming calls and messages, except for a closed list of specific numbers. You must make sure that this mode is not set in the application.
Access the main menu in the application >> Settings >> Block numbers
Make sure that the setting is “Black mode”. If the existing definition is “White mode”, it must be changed to “Black mode”.
3) You can try reinstalling the app. Before uninstalling and installing, it is recommended to make a backup of the application’s call log and phonebook.
4) At times, this problem will be accompanied by a caller identification problem in incoming calls – it is recommended to check by steps in the question ‘when receiving calls, instead of identifying the real caller, the additional number appears as the source of the call’.
If all the steps have been followed but you still cannot receive SMS messages, please contact us at num2@cellact.com

- When receiving calls, instead of the actual caller ID, the Secondary number appears as the call source
This can occur on Android devices, and is due to several reasons:
- Make sure that the application has permission to run in the background (the permission does not consume much battery resources or data) and that it is not submitted for battery optimization.
- Make sure that the application has permission to use background data.
- The application must be allowed to display all types of notifications.
- Make sure that your device has an internet connection.
- Check the device contact list to see if the Secondary number was added as a contact, if so, delete the number from the phonebook.
- If outgoing calls also appear when calling the Secondary number instead of the destination number – make sure to grant the app permission to access the device phonebook.
- If the problem occurs for incoming calls on Xiaomi devices, make sure to give the application permission to display notifications, unique to this type of device.
If you have checked all the above settings, and have not found the problem, please contact us at num2@cellact.com.
Check and pass us the following details:
- Does the Num2 app receive SMS messages?
- Do you receive SMS messages to the Primary SIM number (of the device on which the app is installed)?
